WASHINGTON DC – September 8, 2025: Rounding out this week’s spotlight in The Command Purpose Foundation’s “Meet the Board” series is Rupal Patel, CEO of The Global Leadership Lab, Best-selling Author, and former CIA officer.
Though not a military veteran herself, Rupal worked closely with military counterparts across the world during her career in the Intelligence Community. Having successfully pivoted her career multiple times since leaving the CIA, she knows first-hand the challenges that come with major life and career transitions and the importance of community during those periods of flux.
“The ethos and mission of supporting servicewomen/veterans during transition inspired me to join Command Purpose,” she shared. “I am excited to help the team expand the reach and impact of everything they do.”
Rupal’s ideal dinner guest? Rear Admiral Grace Hopper—trailblazing computer scientist, Navy legend, and early leader in NASA research. She deeply admires her professional contributions to NASA in space, math, and astrophysics, and her pioneering work as a computer scientist and mathematician. She adds, “As a fellow New Yorker and lover of astrophysics, I have a feeling we would have a lot to talk about!”
