WASHINGTON DC – July 21, 2025: As part of its “Meet the Board” series, The Command Purpose Foundation is proud to spotlight Megan Jaffer, Command Purpose Foundation’s first official board member in 2020 and Co-Founder of Iron Butterfly Media.

Megan’s connection to the military runs deep—she is the proud daughter of a Green Beret. That legacy of service inspired her enduring commitment to Command Purpose, where she has helped shape the organization’s one-of-a-kind programming from the very start, which focuses on helping women reconnect with their purpose.

“I believe that Command Purpose is unlike any other veterans’ support organization,” Megan shared. “CP has one of a kind programming that focuses on the individual woman. When women leave the military, they are learning what their new mission is. The transition can be difficult because they now have to determine what their personal mission is. CP helps them through that process.” Furthermore, Megan believes that CP is unique because the community is not only there for women when they leave the military, but through other transitions in life.

For Megan, witnessing the transformation of women as they rediscover their new purpose has been the most fulfilling part of her journey with CP. And if she could share a meal with any historical woman veteran? “Bea Arthur,” she says—the American actress, comedienne, singer, and U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
